Hello, I recently had an online account that was used without my permission and money was pulled from a linked ACH bank account. I disputed the charges with my bank and closed the account. I have received a couple letters from TRS trying to collect this “debt”. I am looking for advice on what do in responding to these letters. Thank you, Adam

They sent me over 90 letters containing different due totals. In the letter they had sent to me I checked the dispute box and added underneath I that I demanded to see requested proof of the validity of the debt and sent it to their address through USPS mail. Since then have not received any information regarding the validity or proof of what they claim I owe. 30 more envelopes stating the same thing with no response of proof of the debt or validity came two weeks later. I received multiple calls two phone calls I can specifically remember the exact date of are from the date April 21 and the other one on April 16th. I looked up how many days a debt collection agency has before responding to a dispute letter. And here is what came up "A statement that if you write to dispute the debt or request more information within 30 days, the debt collector will verify the debt by mail. A statement that if you request information about the original creditor within 30 days, the collector must provide it." TRS Recovery failed to do so and I've read multiple BBB reviews claiming they are fraudulent. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!

They kept calling me for a person named Fermin Gemora , I kept telling me that is not me and keep saying they going to remove my number yet they kept calling. I told them it’s about the letter I received for Fermin Gemora that using my home address to issue a fake check on grocery store , I filed the police report and gave copy to those we received. Police stated it’s not you for the signature and drivers license doesn’t match therefore you should not do anything yet I am being harassed by those calls and they won’t stop!
