24 Hour Fitness is a privately-held company that was established in 1983. Over the years, the company has grown physical fitness centers across the US with over 280 clubs in 11 states as of today.
24 Hour Fitness also runs by the following alternate business names: 24 Hour Fitness USA Inc and 24 Fitness Sports Club. As of 6/15/2020, 24 Hour Fitness has filed for Chapter 11 of the Federal Bankruptcy Act to reorganize according to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Deceitful Membership Charges
Among the top complaints against 24 Hour Fitness is their continuous and/or false membership charges. According to the complainants, they were charged for membership despite the restrictions due to covid-19, previous cancellations (going as far back as 2018), and requests for membership cancellations.
