Billing Errors
A primary issue against Affirm, Inc is their obscure billing/payment terms. According to the complaints, Affirm, Inc has forced its customers to pay for errors on the company’s part (like unreceived products). This also resulted in Affirm, Inc. failing to update its financial report regarding its customers, resulting in false reports on delinquent payments.
Falsifying Information
According to some individuals, Affirm, Inc used a fake number for non-existent accounts under their names. The company also refused to update credit reports to show a borrower’s loan was fully paid and had failed to send an email notification regarding a loan that was never made by an individual.
Defective/Unavailed Products
Some of the products leased or bought through Affirm, Inc. did not work properly or have stopped working soon after delivery. There were also outdated products sold as new items. These issues worsened thanks to the difficult refund process consumers have had to face.
Refund Request IssuesConsequent to getting broken or defective merchandise, consumers also had problems refunding products they weren’t able to use like airfare and hotel booking due to the pandemic. Under a state emergency, consumers expected some flexibility and understanding from Affirm, Inc but were ultimately left disappointed with how they were handled by the company. Poor Customer Service
Affirm, Inc’s clients also complained about shady billing collection. According to the complaints, there were individuals receiving emails regarding loan payments they did not apply for. When these complaints were aired out to customer service agents, Affirm, Inc’s employees apparently screamed and banged customers’ doors upon initiating contact.
Unfortunately, these complaints are just the beginning for Affirm, Inc. Between customer service issues, contract issues, and defective products, Affirm, Inc. customers are left wondering what options they have regarding their consumer rights.
We Fix Complaints When Customer Service Won’t
Has Affirm, Inc. used misleading sales tactics? Have you received poor service? Do you have complaints with billing? Do you want customer service at Affirm, Inc. to listen?
A lot of Affirm, Inc. Corporation customers aren’t happy with their service and the Better Business Bureau lists 635 customer complaints against the company in the past three years, including complaints for billing and collections practices, problems with a service/product, advertising and sales, among others.
If your complaints haven’t been heard, we can help. At America’s Consumer Lawyer we help customers who have been mistreated by big companies–much like Affirm, Inc.–and we turn your complaints into resolutions!
We’ll not only file your legal demands with Affirm, Inc., we’ll negotiate with the company. If your claim isn’t resolved through these negotiations, we’ll work through the legal process that is outlined in your Affirm, Inc. contract, which is typically arbitration.
America’s Consumer Lawyer gets results–including zero balances, refunds, and other compensation.
Here’s How to Make Big Companies Listen
It can be frustrating when you rely on a service and don’t get the results you’ve paid for. Big companies make mistakes every day and not only is it their fault, but it can also cost you money, time, and leave you with big headaches.
Have you tried calling Affirm, Inc. to address an issue, only to be told that the representative has no authority to do so? Or maybe you’ve tried talking to someone higher up in the company, only to be ignored, dismissed, or they take too long, continuing to waste your precious time. Maybe you’ve sent an email to the company which only resulted in a prefabricated response or they never follow through with what they’ve promised.
When you’re limited in your choices for service providers or you’re locked into a contract, what can you do?
Fortunately, you do have options.
Use Arbitration to Settle Your Complaint
Most companies like Affirm, Inc. have an arbitration clause in their contracts to prevent being taken to court for traditional litigation. This is actually an advantage for the consumer. When you request an arbitration hearing, an independent third-party (the arbitrator) with knowledge of the type of situation involved will listen to the facts from both sides and make an impartial, binding decision. Affirm, Inc. will have to do a lot of work and there is no guarantee that they will have a successful outcome.
Arbitration is Fast, Inexpensive, and Private
Arbitration with Affirm, Inc. is conducted through the American Arbitration Association (AAA). According to the AAA Consumer Due Process Protocol, arbitration through AAA will comply with their Statement of Principles, which includes:
- The process is fundamentally fair – All parties are entitled to qualified, competent, impartial arbitrators who will conduct a fair hearing.
- You get access to all relevant information – This includes reasonable costs, confidentiality, reasonable time limits, and meeting times and/or locations that are agreeable to both parties.
- Transparency – AAA provides clear arbitration agreements and the ability for each side to hire their own representation.
- Just process – Arbitration allows the arbitrator to award the same relief as traditional litigation in a binding decision.
- Alternative to arbitration – Mediation and the ability to take the case to small claims court should be available in some cases.
Arbitration Gives you Control and Leverage
When Affirm, Inc. is alerted that you plan to pursue arbitration, they know it will cost them money out of pocket. Not only do they run the risk of losing the case, but they will also pay for their mistake(s) and the arbitration itself. This gives you more leverage with your demands.
If Affirm, Inc. doesn’t meet those demands and you have a real complaint, America’s Consumer Lawyer can help by representing you in arbitration where you will get a fair, just, and transparent hearing.
Control and Leverage Triggers Faster Settlements
Large companies like Affirm, Inc. don’t like the uncertainty and loss of control that comes with arbitration. Not only do they lose the advantage in the situation, but you’re also on equal footing with them in the eyes of arbitration.
The first step in taking on Affirm, Inc. is to formally raise your complaint. The lawyers at America’s Consumer Lawyer can help you to do so. We will send a letter of demands to the corporate offices of Affirm, Inc., letting them know that you’re ready to begin arbitration if a satisfactory resolution is not achieved. Typically, this is 30 days, but it will depend on your specific contract with Affirm, Inc.
Approximately 50% of cases will settle before proceeding to an arbitration hearing during this time. However, if Affirm, Inc. doesn’t offer a reasonable settlement within the appropriate time frame, the next step would be filing a case with AAA. America’s Consumer Lawyer will not only put together the necessary paperwork for arbitration, but we will also help you take the next steps in the arbitration process.
UDAAP and Arbitration
UDAAP is an acronym representing laws that prohibit Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices in the context of trade or business. This includes misrepresentation, deception, false advertising, or false promises. These laws emerged following the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act that was enacted in response to the 2008 financial crisis. The ultimate goal with these laws is geared towards protecting consumers involved in financial transactions, educating consumers on their rights, and allowing them access to information and resources to best inform their decisions.
UDAAP laws are regulated by two organizations, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The FTC expanded the initial UDAAP laws in 2004 to include unfair and deceptive acts and practices. Some standards for unfairness, in particular, include if it causes or is likely to cause substantial injury to consumers, the injury is not reasonably avoidable by consumers, and the injury is not outweighed by countervailing benefits to consumers or to competition.
Every state has UDAAP laws, which can vary widely. However, the lawyers at America’s Consumer Lawyer understand these laws and can use them to get compensation for deceptive practices, representing consumers throughout the country in cases of arbitration at no cost to them. The company will not only pay the consumer, but they will also pay my fees as well. The consumer will never pay me a cent.
If you’re dealing with an issue with Affirm, Inc., you might try filing a complaint with the BBB or the customer service team with Affirm, Inc. Unfortunately, these avenues won’t always lead to a successful resolution for you, the customer. Instead, you may want to consider an experienced arbitration lawyer to take on your case.
Arbitration is a very useful tool for resolving disputes, and America’s Consumer Lawyer can help. With our expert guidance, we bring the big companies to the table and provide the support needed to get your bills corrected, credit reports fixed, improper fees refunded, and more. Let us pick up the sword for you; you have nothing to lose.
How Do I File a Complaint Against Affirm, Inc.?
We will use your state’s UDAAP law to file a complaint in Arbitration on your behalf at no cost to you. UDAAP laws include misrepresentation, deception, false advertising, or false promises. Under your state’s UDAAP law, you are likely entitled to money damages for your actual damages. Plus, the other side will pay our fees and costs. You will not pay us a penny.

Affirm is reporting a debt that I retired the item years ago I want it off my credit report
My information was broken into. Two charges were made that I did not make. Affirm took them back. They locked my account, pending verification from me. Have called multiple times with same result of “you will get email from us to verify your identity”. Last call I made, I was advised my account is permanently locked, I cannot use their app and I still need to make payments on what I owe, but I cannot see what I owe as I have no access and can only pay by calling in.
I heard that their is a lawsuit going against affirm.

REQUEST FOR REPRESENTATION – AFFIRM UNAUTHORIZED CHARGE & UDAAP VIOLATIONS
From: Charles Myrick
Phone: 404-767-1072
Email: americanconsultantsrx1@gmail.com
Address: P.O. Box 161336, Atlanta, GA 30321
To: America’s Consumer Lawyer (Agruss Law Firm, LLC)
Dear America’s Consumer Lawyer Team,
I am writing to request legal representation regarding significant issues I am experiencing with Affirm, Inc., including what I believe are violations of federal and state UDAAP protections, improper billing practices, failed investigations, and ongoing collection attempts related to an unauthorized hotel charge.
I am seeking counsel to pursue arbitration and/or any other remedies available to me under consumer protection laws. Based on your expertise with Affirm and similar fintech lenders, I believe your firm is the appropriate advocate for this situation.
Summary of My Issue With Affirm
1. Unauthorized Charge That I Did Not Make
A reservation was fraudulently placed under my name at Hyatt Place Atlanta Cobb Galleria through Hotels.com/Hotwire using my Affirm account. I did not authorize this transaction and had never used Affirm for hotel or travel purchases.
2. Merchant Confirmed Cancellation & Refund
On November 10, 2025, the Hyatt General Manager confirmed in writing that:
The reservation was canceled without penalty, and
The credit card on file was refunded the same day to Hotels.com.
(I have attached their documented verification.)
Despite this, Affirm continues to treat me as responsible for the charge.
3. Affirm Failed to Conduct a Proper Investigation
Affirm’s handling of this has been deeply problematic:
Affirm never contacted the hotel despite being given direct confirmation and documentation.
I completed the affidavit twice, yet they repeatedly claim they need another one.
Affirm provided a non-functional link for the affidavit submission, hindering my ability to comply.
The documentation I submitted multiple times appears to have not been reviewed at all.
4. Repeated Harassment and Collection Attempts
Affirm is still:
Sending payment demands,
Issuing non-payment notices, and
Treating the fraudulent charge as valid despite proof of cancellation and refund.
This is causing stress, reputational damage, and potential risk to my credit reports.
5. Poor Customer Service and Abrupt Disconnections
On November 11, I spent more than an hour on the phone with Affirm:
Transferred multiple times
Representatives claiming they “did not understand” the issue
The final representative hung up on me
No meaningful assistance was provided
This reflects the very type of systemic unfairness and abusive practices described in UDAAP standards.
Evidence Provided
To make evaluation easy, I have placed all documentation—Hyatt confirmation, Hotels.com cancellation email, Affirm correspondence, and timeline—into a secure file:
Secure Documentation Link:
https://bit.ly/CHARLESMYRICKPROOFFORCaseID44218253
I can also provide the original PDF email threads, call logs, and screen captures documenting Affirm’s actions.
Legal Concerns
Based on what I’ve experienced, I believe Affirm has committed the following potential violations:
Unfair and deceptive billing practices
Failure to properly investigate disputed transactions
Continuing collection actions despite proof of error
Ignoring merchant-provided refund confirmation
Providing defective submission links to block resolution
Possible FCRA implications if my credit is impacted
UDAAP violations under CFPB and FTC guidance
These issues closely mirror the categories you identify on your website, including incorrect billing, failure to update account information, and abusive customer service practices.
What I Am Seeking
I am requesting:
Representation on a contingency basis
Assistance in filing an arbitration claim against Affirm
Relief including:
Zeroing out the balance
Removal of any negative credit reporting
Potential damages under UDAAP statutes
Reimbursement for any documented harm
Your firm’s assistance in handling further communications with Affirm
I understand that under UDAAP provisions, Affirm is responsible for paying your fees and costs if they violated the law, and I would not owe any fees to your firm.
Conclusion
I have exhausted all reasonable attempts to resolve this directly with Affirm. Their refusal to address a clearly unauthorized charge and their mishandling of my dispute has left me no choice but to seek legal representation.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this case with your team. Please feel free to contact me at 404-977-0236 or at americanconsultantsrx1@gmail.com
.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Charles Myrick
On Oct 14, 2025, Affirm’s rep and supervisor confirmed no records exist under my identity for three fraudulent Affirm accounts (81C9-EHY6, 8CPK-EUS4, R3Y2-46QA). Three days later (Oct 17), Affirm denied my identity-theft claim, asserting “verification” via internal cross-references, IP/device matches, and payment history—without evidence—directly contradicting the Oct 14 admission. On Oct 21, Affirm modified furnishing to Experian to show “PAYING,” adjusted balances, and a credit limit increase to $101, despite my no-authorization/no-payments position and Affirm’s possession of an FTC Identity Theft Report, police report, and proof of identity. I’ve demanded immediate deletion and cessation of furnishing under §1681c-2(a) and §1681s-2, plus production of the authorization trail if Affirm continues to assert ownership. Continued reporting will be treated as willful noncompliance and referred for regulatory enforcement and potential litigation/arbitration.
I\'ve been trying for several days to close my \"Affirm\" account. First it was you need wait 30 days after making your last payment, then it was you need to close the Affirm card, then it was you need to close the Affirm Money account... but first that has to be zeroed out (only had about 3 dollars left which I didn\'t care if I lost as long as I could close my account immediately). I begrudgingly transferred this paltry sum of money out but still couldn\'t close out my entire Affirm account. I\'ve initiated multiple support chats/calls but mostly it\'s either a bunch of chat/phone transfers and/or agents saying they\'re not trained/authorized to help any further which ultimately results in my Affirm account remaining open indefinitely.
What started this whole process was Affirm arbitrarily froze my entire account/balance that included $3K+ worth of funds for 2+ days, which effectively rendered me unable to make any physical/in-person purchases that required a physical card.
After the initial account/balance freezing & eventually getting it unfrozen, I paid off any loans & transferred all the current money out of Affirm. The 3 dollars & change was the interest that generated in the previous month but that didn\'t post til the month switched over... It has never been this difficult to close any type of account where you technically don\'t owe any balances or payments.
If you respond to this, please do so via email since I rarely answer calls due to spam/robocalls/marketing/etc.
Affirm is currently investigating a dispute involving 1stbedroom, their vendor, which delivered defective products. Despite receiving full payment, 1stbedroom has not replaced the faulty items or issued a refund to me. I have provided solid evidence of the defective products to Affirm for their investigation. However, it seems that Affirm has earned a commission from 1stbedroom and did not conduct proper reality checks or verify the products delivered to us. Affirm informed me of their findings without thoroughly investigating the evidence I provided. As a result, the vendor was allowed to keep the full payment, despite the shipment issues. I kindly request that you look into this matter with Affirm and advocate for the resolution I am seeking. I expect a full refund of $2,591.48 for the bed and sofa set from 1stbedroom. Thank you for your assistance.
can someone please help me file an arbitration with affirm or refer me to someone that can help me, I have filed a complaint against affirm through the attorney general reported to BBB affirm help support just keeps rejecting my fraud dispute I have tried to contact you twice please call me please
Test of SMS to wanted consumer intakes.
I feel like Affirm is being deceptive when approving me for a loan. I used Affirm twice for Amazon and paid them back early, now when I try to use them again... They are saying they can not verify my identity. How were you able to verify my identity twice before, but now you can not? They also do the same with Walmart, and when I get in contact with support, they then come back with, they do not need to verify me but every time I am denied through Walmart and Amazon, it says I need to verify my identity. No, the link is sent to verify my identity, my public record, since they use Experian, which has the same information that is on my application. And as I stated before, there was no problem when I was approved twice through Amazon. It seems like my identity was verified then, why is it different now? I feel like there is some technical glitch.
There were 2 loans done with a virtual card at walmart. I did not make these loans and affirm is refusing to help. I\'ve filed a complaint with the cfpb but they can\'t guarantee a resolution. Walmart has given me the run around about the purchases and I just want it resolved these are loans in the amount of around $800 or more and I have been in touch with affirm from the get go and they just keep saying I am responsible when I tell them I haven\'t been to Florida since 1998 and didn\'t make those purchases. I want help making sure I am not responsible for these loans and ideally the culprits found and prosecuted.
Yes they have loans that I didn\'t make from 2 account for affirm on the same day and now they have sold my so called debt to a 3rd party. I disputed both charges but they say I still owe and are messing up my credit so I need to take legal action for fraud please help
Good evening,
I need sue Affirm. I have been trying to make a payment for the past 2 months and for some reason I am locked out. I called multiple times and no one is able to help. But they are threatening to send my account to collections.
I am not sure what to do. But I am hoping suing them will solve this.
Affirm leaked my personal information and scammers had access to my bank account information. For months they were opening loans and i was paying for these loans which flew below the radar as they were in small amounts and the transaction indicated affirm, I did actually have legitimate loans with Affirm, so this went on for months. After reaching out to Affirm when I realized, they confirmed they couldn’t source the loans and said to work with my bank in an audit. I did that. I had to dispute hundreds of charges, often many in the same amounts. Affirm, started flagging payments as unpaid, falsely reporting as such. I’ve reached out to Affirm about payments that were in fact paid and some loans paid in full, that were now being reported as late. I sent in screenshots verifying the same. They indicated that due to a dispute some payments were showing as unpaid. I asked for a statement of payments and loans so that I could cross reference as I was dealing with an extensive fraud case involving their company. I inquired by chat, email, phone and received no response. They are falsely reporting payments as late, and delinquent. However , I made these payments! If there’s a discrepancy i’m happy to pay something I owe on but they have not responded to requests for verification of debt, and they continue to falsely report to credit bureaus.
I made an order to one company but found that company suspecious sharing my info to other company, as I did not receive order confirmation , but I send email after 2-3 minutes to cancel my order as I feel not confident about them, I called Afrim not proceed the loan but despite that after 3 days they process my loan and Skillarbitage also process my loan /order which was already cancel before even confirmation. Order was confirmed after 3-4 days. As company does the educational crime I like to sue both Afrim company and education/technology company who offered courses but never return customer money
I initiated a purchase in November of 2022 for tires from the Walmart Tire Center. When we arrived to the store we discovered the wrong tires were ordered, so they immediately refunded the order and we were given a receipt; I also received a confirmation email. I continued receiving emails saying I owed them. I went back & forth with Affirm for months before they finally removed it from the app account. In January, I purchased a vehicle and found that it is a negative item on my credit report, not once... but twice. I spoke with Experian who told me they cannot remove them because Affirm said not to. I called Affirm and recorded the call (Michigan is a one-party consent state) and the supervisor initially said he could see the item was refunded in their system, then said it was not. When I informed him the call was being recorded he immediately seemed startled and wanted \"to help\" me. I told him I NEVER had two accounts through Affirm and the second is definitely fraudulent. He said he was initiating an investigation on both, but I do not trust them at all. I will be mailing them a demand letter, as well.
Hello, I have a loan from Affirm but the merchant is a fraud and selling useless courses. I was able to get refunded through my bank but affirm is not releasing me from the loan and it is negatively impacting my credit score.
I tried to make a purchase using Affirm, but the purchase was declined. I then made the purchase with my debit card. Now, Affirm is telling me that I owe a portion of the cost of the purchase that was declined. I proved that the business declined the purchase and sent Affirm proof of this. They, however, are telling me that they owe some of the purchase price.
I have been with affirm, and within a 6 months period of time my affirm account was hacked twice with multiple payments .. they would use the my affirm card number and make full purchases .. affirm will take it out of my bank account .. I had over 400 dollars come out of my account the first time .. I had to change my card just for affirm to still try to bill me for same amounts I disputed 6 months ago which was fraudulent.. they took over 45 days for them to only remove them and months later recharge me for them along with other charges fraudulent charges that occurred recently.. As soon as I linked my banking account last week they took over 300 dollars out of my account .. I had to call them again last week to have them say it would take 3-5 business days and later on tell me it would take 30 more days .. so I just don’t know what to do at this point .. they keep saying they’re working on it but in the meantime nothing is being done .. so I changed my card number again and had to go through several bank fees .. I just feel lost at this point because I only use them for monthly payments not a full purchase .. nothing is being done about it from affirm end ..
I recently went on my affirm account after years of not using it(never made a purchase)..after recovering the account because i was thinking about making a purchase,i log in on the app and it says i have payments of about$800 due,no way because I’ve never bought anything using affirm,I contacted them through email and told them someone most have been doing a scam using my info but they’re saying they did an investigation and it is me…what should i do?
I was part of online scam and signed a contract with a merchant to get masterclass/mentorship program, upon signing the contract and receiving the introductory call i figured this was not going to be what was I was told during the initial sales call. I immediately requested a refund and initiated a dispute with Affirm which they made me use to finance this loan, now Affirm came back saying that they delivered the service even though I have not partook any part of the course besides the initial call.
I would like to close this Loan or contest this in court
I am currently fighting a dispute.
I am writing to seek assistance regarding an issue with a recent purchase. The item I ordered does not match the description or images provided on the sellers website. Specifically:
• The skirt is missing a light blue polka-dotted overlay that was shown in the photos. The slits on the pullover are not even the same.
• The item arrived with a strong odor, is not the advertised brand, and appears to be of lower quality.
I initially purchased this item because it matched a similar product from Nordstrom in both style and size. However, the item I received is different, and for $80, it does not meet the quality expectations set by the listing.
When I requested a refund, the seller stated that returns were not possible due to the item being outsourced. However, the product description does not mention any restrictions on returns, and the sellers site states that returns are accepted within 14 days. Moreover, the “Return and Exchange” tab on your website does not provide any functional or detailed information, and attempts to access this through Shop and Affirm also resulted in blank pages.
According to consumer law:
• Retailers are required to clearly post return policies.
• If the wrong item is sent, consumers are entitled to a full refund, including return shipping, as the seller has breached the sales contract.
The company’s refusal to honor its stated return policy and its failure to provide the item as described constitutes a violation of my consumer rights. I would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I may pursue further action through my state’s consumer protection agency or initiate a chargeback with my credit card provider.
I would also like to add that a seller cannot legally disclose my personal information to third parties in the event of a disputed order. Doing so could violate privacy laws and may also constitute a breach of contract, depending on the platform’s terms of service. Despite my explicit request not to share my information, the seller proceeded to do so.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please advise as I’m getting a feeling Affirm is going to side with the seller.
Bought product through Affirm. Product immediately failed, and vendor refused to call back for corrective action, then emailed me that it was too expensive to send, and refused to refund me
Bought $4K in products from Dodge Off Road who never delivered them after 4 months and said to do a chargeback. Affirm rejected the charge back. Dodge Off road i being sued by the Arkansas Attorney General for Fraud, Affirm still processing payments for them. I\'m out over $5k.
I have all the documentation.
I have files a Better Business Bureau complaint I am waiting on a reply. I also disputed the problem with Affrim and they ignored my documentation. They gave the excuse that Priceline policy was violated.
Hello, In April of 2024 I made a purchase of two satellite communication units from a company called MOSS Geospatial using Shop Pay by Affirm and have never received the items, and the company is unresponsive, other than saying they would provide a full refund, then never did and ghosted me. Affirm said there is nothing they can do because it had been too long since the original charge when I contacted them in July 2024. It is now November 2024. Amounts totaling 1,399.98 having finance charge of 246.01 and total of payments 1,645.99 I am continuing to pay 137.17 monthly on something I never received because I don\'t want to hurt my credit. But I feel that fraud has been done to me. I don\'t want to spend a lot of money and time to fight this because I don\'t want to outweigh the damage that has already been done, but I am interested in what options may be available to me.
I recently moved to Kentucky and used Affirm to make 2 purchases. 1 to Big Fig Mattresses, and the other to Amazon for items for my new home. I received both items, however, shortly after Affirm locked me out of my account. I began contact with them on October 18th, and it took until November 1st for them to unlock my account. Now, I have received a loan statement, but these loans are not associated to my account at this time. I would love for your company to proceed with legal action against Affirm for violating the law.
I am going through financial hardship due to the place where I live went up $305 back in 2024. I asked for Affirm to work with me multiple times and they denied me multiple times. I was making small payments and they closed my account after 120 while making the payments. They sold my account to a third party after their 120 day policy and when I responded to the their party, they NEVER contacted me back. Went completely ghost. I get an email about opting out of Affirm selling my information to find out Affirm charged off the amount I owe but are still expecting me to pay it AFTER they sold it to a third party. The excuse was they took the loan back from the third party because I wouldn’t pay it with them. The truth is I reached out to the the third party for negotiation and they didn’t respond. So now Affirm still expects me to pay them after almost 9 months of silence. They said they would work with you in their policy because they know times are hard but they don’t. I have asked for lower payments from the time I knew I was going into financial hardship and they refused every single time. They also refused me again today 11/2/24 after I tried AGAIN to get the payment lowered after finding out they are forcing me to keep the account open. I need help understanding what is next because they have been messing with me credit this whole time.
I am an admitted gambler. Affirm allowed me to get access to easy cash. In my eyes they helped me get myself in thousands worth of loan debts. You are not suppose to be able to buy vanilla visa gift cards with affirm but everytime I was approved I could go right to walgreens and buy them. I would activate the card with a pin go into safeway and buy money orders with them. If they would have not sold me the cards then I wouldn\'t be in debt. Yes I did it but feel mislead knowing they were allowing me to do so. I\'d like to sue them. They expect me to keep up on my end of the deal but they didn\'t on their end. It\'s like tobacco you know it can hurt you but yet they sold it til they were sued and had to come up with warning labels and state by state counseling. Had Affirm just followed their policy that I agreed to I would not have been able to buy visa gift cards and change them into money orders for cash. I\'m paying on basically items that they don\'t allow to purchase. Can someone please email me. I need help. Thanks
Dear Sir...Affirm, Inc. made an unauthorized withdrawal from my Wells Fargo checking account in the amount of $9,321.08. I have immediately filed a complaint with Wells Fargo and an investigation has been initiated as of 10/29/24. Apparently, after a little research, I\'ve discovered that I\'m one of MANY individuals who do not hold this company in \"high esteem.\" Thanks in advance for your response. Kenneth M. Schnaubelt/Greenville, SC.
Several months ago I missed a payment with Affirm due to someone stealing my bank card. It took my bank several weeks to replace the card so of course I could not use my card or any transactions. Affrim promised me that they woud not report me as delinquent nr punish me or charge me etra fees if I pay by the agreed date which was 3 weeks later. I paid and they claimed I never paid. I went to check my account and sure enough they were not but that i because their system denied the payment. I called back and they once again claimed they never received a payment nor nor did they refuse a payment. Now, after receiving yet another payment they have blocked me from purchasing anything afterpromising me they would not do this. Their claim is an algorithm does it not them and they have no control. After getting a manager they then said that it was due to my credit history. Every time I call it is a different excuse/story. I am tired of it and I am tired of giving them money so I can use my account and then not be able to use my account.
Hi,
I am from Canada. Affirm is holding me liable for $7,000+ after I have been scammed by a company they offer financing for.
Multiple emails daily saying I’m behind and threatening credit reporting. I tried calling but they extract all the information they can before saying anything. I logged into to their website thinking I could track down the debt but now they are using that information to call me incessantly with different phone numbers. 3 calls last 24 hours. I answered and again they want information without giving any. They say I owe from Amazon but my records show no transaction for that amount or anything funded by Affirm. On the website it says my balance over $1,000 but debt collection is for $276?!??! They are coming after me hard and heavy. And I don’t know what for. I’ve told them to send me a paper billing but they refuse. They only want electronic communication and payments.
They took $800 out of my bank account
Hello I need help. I have tried contacting AFFIRM to dispute a charge on my account, I have sumbmitted a letter from AMAZON for a purchace AFFIRM states I made on 08/01/2024 thru AMAZON after contacing AMAZON they find I have no purchases made on the day AFFIRM approved the loan for the amount of $214.58.
I want to sue Affirm for disrupting the privacy of my information… I was ordering a lot of things through Amazon and decided to give affirm a try… later down the weeks, I decide to get into the actual affirm account, not through Amazon… I see my purchases but when I log on it’s saying my name is “Peaches Whatever Lastname” and I’m like wait…. Then it’s asking to confirm my email and it’s being sent to a whole different email not belonging to the one I signed up with. I have called for almost two months trying to figure this out and not one person has resolved it. I have not been able to pay and I know it’s hitting my credit. They also removed the phone number I used to sign up and I was no longer able to log in with a text code.. I created a WHOLE NEW application just to be denied the loan through affirm… I thought I was going right back to my account with all my purchases and now.. I’m completely locked from whatever account I had under my number. And after saying wel give us a new number I told them I didn’t have one… it’s 8506309805.. didn’t pull anything up.. so I gave them my brothers number and that’s not working either. I owe over $2000 I think from purchase and I am livid that I haven’t been able to make a payment and the fact that my application information with my whole life on it, is just… there with whoever doing whatever with my information. Please help me resolve this asap.
Affirm has 3 accounts on my Experian report with horribly inaccurate data. Two of the accounts (charged off but paid to $0) have inaccurate Date of First Delinquency fields. I\'ve disputed this with both Experian and Affirm via USPS Certified Mail to no avail. This means the two bad accounts will stick around way longer than they need to, falling off in 2026 instead of 2025 -- a major FCRA violation. I\'m angry about how they\'re continuing to break federal and state laws through inaccurate credit reporting and want to pursue legal action to get these trade lines corrected or removed completely.
I have a balance of $0.31 cents to affirm. The blocked my account and can’t pay. Even the customer service can’t even help me. Affirm hired TrueAccord and trying to collect $264.34. I have all the evidence for lawsuit.
Can we make this make sense? I received an increase in spending about recently and now when I log in Affirm is unable to offer purchasing power unless I pay in full with a linked bank account for under $50. When I contacted customer service I got a generic everything is ok answer. I even asked if this had anything to do with the cybersecurity attack that received an email about involving Evolve and was told it did not. I was told to give my account a few days as this is normal; well it’s been more than a few days. I have never had this issue and if you look at my purchase history, I have never had an issue. However, affirm is still managing to draft my automatic payments despite not being able to use their service. Currently my most recent payments are still processing.
Hello,
Im dealing with some issues from Affirm; I have several loans with them, that somehow exceeded my affirm limit. I am less than 30 days late on any payments to them, and they are sending up to 9 emails per day, and calling me from spoofed local numbers 4-6 times per day.
Contacted affirm several times to dispute a purchase for a samsung watch that was delivered to the wrong address, confirmed by ups that it is lost. Affirm ruled with samsung stating I am responsible for the product even though I don\'t have it my possession.
I just sent a message about what Affirm is doing to me.
Did you receive the message?
I took out a loan for a flax experience through Fan Expo, for a Back to Future wand a session at Megacon in Orlando. Megacon put the wrong date on the ticket, and I didn’t get to attend because of this. I asked Fan Expo numerous times to refund my money, and they refused. I then reported this problem to Affirm who did an investigation, and determined I was still liable for the loan, even though I didn’t get to attend the event I took a loan out for, because the wrong date was put on the ticket. I contacted Affirm numerous times about trying to rectify the, and they refused. Now Affirm has charged off this loan, and it will potentially affect my credit. I am asking assistance in suing Affirm to not only get rid of the wrongful debt, but the fact they are trying to ruin my credit over a loan for a service I have proof that want provided.
Hi, I know that you\'re based in the United States, but I\'m having a problem from Canada, do you know anyone you could refer me too regarding Affirm Canada?
Purchased a Couch and tried returning it right after getting the couch from Wayfair, it broke within a week of having it, attempted to contact Wayfair and Affirm both wouldn\'t work with me, A not even a year later of going back and forth they charged the account off 2018 , In 2020 My self and affirm agreed to have this account removed to show on all records pertaining this account , So I paid it the account off with the understanding this account would be removed and that was the only reason I paid it, After several weeks I notice the account was still on my credit as a charge off and yet the account was paid off , with first down payment and the final payment in total , When I contacted affirm in this regard they said they had not received payment not did they have any records to the agreement that was made , As I didn\'t want this to stain my credit, Its still on my credit as a charge off yet the entire account is paid, This has caused my final harm and loss , I had had several VA home loans denied due to affirm and billing practices on this subject of this account
I have several AFFIRM loans. I\'m going in a debt program and they refuse to work with me! Also I feel my accurate balance owed is not accurate! Thank you!
They are taking forever to process payments in order to accrue extra interest, even though they have withdrawn the money from my bank account. This is resulting in fraudulent interest charges.
Bought an electric bicycle from Vela Bikes. Talked to a representative from the company explaining that they were working on a merger. Product never came within the 60 day period for affirm returns. Currently, the company went under with no way to contact anyone. I am currently paying affirm for a product never received. Affirm explained that the only way to receive a refund is to contact company for a return. This cannot be done as there is no company to contact.
Purchased a ring, financed with Shop Pay, which I learned is Affirm. Returned ring day after received. Contacted Affirm & was told I had to pay regardless of return. Company issued refund (except $485) within 4 days of return. I tried to get remaining refund. In the mean time, Affirm reported to credit bureau I was 30, 60 & 90 days late pay. Affirm received over $4,500 from refund prior to first payment. I tried contacting Affirm several times phone number didn’t work, emails ignored. Bottom line I ended up paying $485, for absolutely NOTHING, Affirm damaged my EXCELLENT credit rating & after filing several reports, Affirm refuses to correct as well as Experian. PLEASE HELP ME.
Affirm has frozen my savings account for no reason
In November, during the holidays, I went out of town for the family gatherings. During that time, I lost my purse with all my important things along with my phone. With an app called find my iPhone I was able to find it. Everything seemed fine and untouched for the most part, except my phone was dead when the battery was full. I set my phone to lock never when I am at work because I am frequently on it and then I set it to 1 minute when I get off. But sometimes I forget because I get so busy and its always by my side or in my hand so I forgot to put it back on there I think. I dont know because when I charged my phone and turned it on it asked for my passcode but it does when its completly dead. I didnt think anything of it then. But when I got back home, I noticed that I could not access my email, so I knew immediately that I was compromised. I went and changed my email on all my accounts and set a fraud alert on my credit profile because nothing was supsicious, so I figured I caught everything in time. I do not use affirm often nor do I carry that card in my wallet so I did not think to check my affirm account. It was not until I started Christmas shopping and was trying to make a list of all gifts and costs against my credit limit and seen there was a huge purchase. I immediately contacted Affirm to start this process and have been getting the run arounds. This is not authorized
I was stranded at the airport and needed a last minute flight to replace a canceled flight. It was 3 a.m. and there was no customer service around. I tried buying a ticket on my phone, but the payment method did not go through, so I tried with affirm, which also did not work. I had to wait until staff came at 4 a.m. and purchase a ticket directly with them by credit card at the terminal. However, Affirm proceeded to charge me for not one but TWO tickets anyway, tickets that I never received from them, and the “loan” was only approved three days AFTER the flight. How do you sell someone a ticket for a flight 3 days in the past? I tried calling to get the charges cleared and their customer service refused to do this. The air carrier cannot refund without a ticket number, and I never received the tickets. This ruined my vacation. Affirm won’t relent in insisting on charging me for non-existent tickets. I’ve had to spend hours on the phone dealing with this and it is still not resolved.
The flight was for April 13 purchased 3-4 a.m that morning for a 5 a.m departure. The ticket was $268.43 and was paid with a Chase Visa card at the terminal. Affirm is charging me for the sum of 2 additional non-existent tickets for a total of $556.79. Their customer service refused to cancel these charges.
Locked us out of our savings account and won’t let us withdraw our money
Affirm refunded money to a closed bank account. Claim they don’t have it. I have bank statements proving it wasn’t deposited. They won’t listen and are completely bulling me
Unfair practices & false records
I applied for Affirm to get last minute airline tickets. The policy never said it took 2-3 days for approval. With any other company, you know on the spot if you are approved and if you don’t hear anything, you will get a denial letter a few days later. Being that I wasn’t told I was approved , I went ahead and booked a different flight. Now they are telling me I owe over $3600 . Very misleading and made to think you aren’t aproved when they don’t mention it could take a few days. Can I do anything with this?
Hi! I have a really unfortunate situation with Affirm.
I financed a purchase through them, and the company that I got the product from turned out to be a total scam. They sent me a broken product, which they even admitted to via email and said they would refund me, but then they ghosted me 4 months after sending that email. I have issued 5 disputes with Affirm but because I\'m out of the 60 day window, they don\'t even care and keep tellnig me the same thing over and over.
The company, is now even fully out of business and after further research on their website and Instagram, I am one of MANY customers experiencing this issue with them. An absolute scam and AFfirm does not care.
Let me know what the options are here, I can\'t even believe how terrible Affirm is being as I have plenty of evidence to show this company is fraudulent.
Affirm let my ex wife use my account and rack up 5000 in loans . 1700 of it went into collections and after expressing this for over a year nd asking to be removed from the account they let her continue to use it and ruin my credit .. they refuse to help .. it\'s fraud and yet they do nothing but demand I pay for loans I never took out .
I have been calling affirm since 2020 that they illegally opened an account using my social security number with my ex husbands name. Three years I have been calling and emailing and they refuse to help me to close the account that the illegally opened using my social security number that he is using in his name.
I place a order for almost 7k using affirm for a suppercharger kit that was supposed to be brand new but what I received was used, damaged and modified parts and incomplete kit. Was not new as advertised. The computer part of the kit was a knock off imitation that also is broken. I purchased from the manufacturer directly Urd that gave me the run around and offered no fair solutions. So I then filed a dispute with affirm the first time they acted like they didn’t receive the information, photos videos and complies of the emails between me and the seller along with screen shot and links to the seller website showing the what I received was not what I order and that the seller policy page was left blank. So I filed again but this time affirmed d has responded at all. I made the mistake of paying the loan off in full prior to receiving and inspecting the order. I we also use affirm at work and notice they always always side with the seller regardless if the error is on the seller side
I applied to Affirm and was denied based off allegation that the \'first\' time I applied, the company could not identify who I am. Though I\'ve never applied before, I was immediately rejected for the same reason. I sent the company an email requesting what the process is for identification so that I can fill in the proper required information. I was denied yet again. I have a credit score of around 790 and pay all my bills on time. It would be nice to be able to pay for larger items overtime. I feel as if I\'ve been wrongly rejected from the service.
Affirm claiming I open four account with them. I never open any account with them now I have four account from them on my credit report. I contact them but they saying now I don\'t have a account with them but its on my credit report
Affirm financed the wrong amount on a loan and has so far overcharged me $96 and will not, provide a refund and close the loan or cancel future payments due.
Affirm unlinked my bank account so that I am unable to withdraw funds from my Affirm Savings account. They are holding nearly $6,000 of my money and customer service will not help. It\'s a technical issue on their end.
Affirm 30/60 late payments on credit report.
On December 22,2023 I made a purchase of gift cards from Target. The order was for gift cards. Most of them virtual gift cars. The total purchase amount was $550. I chose the finance with Affirm option. I had to put a down payment of $82.50. I put in the wrong recipient email for four of the gift cards which were $50 each for a total of $200. Well those four gift cards didn’t go through and Target canceled that part of the order almost immediately. That was before Christmas so I waited until after Christmas to check if my loan from Affirm would be adjusted. It was not so I contacted Affirm who said to contact Target.. The woman from Target said I had to wait until Jan. 1, 2024 when the hold would fall off. Well I did and my loan still didn’t get adjusted. I contacted Target and Affirm again. They are playing the blame game. I do believe the issue lies with Affirm. I received cancellation emails from Target the day of my order. I’ve contacted Affirm numerous times about the issue and they keep telling me it will be resolved in 3-5 business days. I’ve contacted them at least once a week starting January 1st. One representative even had me email the emails I got from Target canceling the orders. I still haven’t had a resolution and my first payment is coming due January 28, 2024. I need some help resolving this issue. I don’t know what else to do. Pleas and Thank you for any help you can give me.
I purchased a set of winter tires from Nightmotorsports online website December 12th. I financed it with Affirm for $2059.75. On December 14th Nightmotorsports called to tell me the item is on backorder and there was no ETA on them getting stock. The Rep told me to cancel through their website. So I did that. I received a email of confirmation that they received my Support Ticket of cancellation. Time goes by the order is still active so I contact Affirm and dispute it, submit evidence and 14 days later (Jan 5) Affirm ruled in the favor of the merchant, that Im responsible for the loan even though the merchant failed to cancel order/ship it. So I call Affirm open another dispute on Jan 10, telling them I have not received my item (tires) and it\'s been nearly a month. I submit the evidence again. Now Jan 15 once again Affirm favors in the merchant. I speak with Affirm telling them I have not received my purchase and won\'t be because the company told me to cancel because there is no ETA on stock. So now Im on the hook for monthly payments of $131 which I made a payment already, for a item that I have not received nor likely to ever receive. I contacted the Nightmotorsports they guy claims he has forwarded my cancellation to the Accountant department, but according to reviews, they do this all the time and still will not cancel orders.
I ordered items for my car. One of the items did not work and the other item was incorrect for my model car. I tried reaching the vendor like Affirm requested me to do. The vendor would not contact me. I sent the items back and have a receipt from UPS.
Meanwhile Affirm changed my case number 3 times so that no one responded to my complaint. I called so many times trying to see if they made a decision. Never heard from them til they decided to send me to collections.
I have video proving that the items were either broken or incorrect for my car which Affirm asked me to send. I finally found out that the reason Affirm wanted me to pay for the items is that they paid the vendor, but the vendor refused to reply to any of their inquiries. This vendor is in China. I feel I was scammed and instead of Affirm helping me out they just want their money.
This issue happened back in September 2023 and they dragged this out for months saying they would make a decision but never did. They just kept changing the complaint number and asking me for proof of the broken items.
Charged twice for items I don’t have. The items came to $25.98 but they say I owe them $135.00. Numerous phone calls that were useless. I believe they are scammers.
They have charged me almost 600$ on an account I never opened and have no knowledge of im not really sure how they got my info but it showed in my credit report as a new account so I called and they will not give me any info on said account
Hi, I have an account on my credit affirm that I have disputed multiple times with all three credit bureaus. I have no active account with them. A balance of 150.00 has been damaging my credit. I have lost more than 90 points as they are damaged. I complained to them and the credit bureaus. Even though I never bought anything from them they are there damaging my credit. Is there a way to get legal help to remove it.?
Having an open loan, that Shopify advised they would close on behalf and submit to Affirm as product was returned and merchant shop was closed. I need assistance with getting the loan closed and removed. I am going in circles.
Affirm was suppose to have a monthly contract someone changed it to be paid off while I was at work. I called immediately, they said they were refunding the money and rewriting the loan due to it was suppose to be monthly and they seen I didn’t make the change. I was never refunded & never got the item. A new target purchase is there which I thought was the loan changed to monthly. Today I find out that it’s a totally different loan & I never authorized it. I’ve been getting codes sent to my phone.
I have people getting into my account some how. I also was suppose to receive the product from the first loan and I never received. This second loan is not the loan rewrote up and it’s a new loan for something they claim was a mistake. It’s going against my credit. I was suppose to receive refunds for both “target” loans never did. I’m fighting it again. Someone is using my affirm account. I called several times about receiving log in codes for affirm that I was not requesting plus my password and codes to enter the account were changed. I left them know and they are still charging me
I ordered two pieces of fitness equipment from an Arizona based company, online. I am in California.
Financed through affirm for about $2000 on one purchase, $900 on the other. Seller failed to deliver on the first purchase on time, I requested a full refund. Seller insisted a 15% restocking fee would be deducted although I never received product. Seller continued to refund me minus 15% without my consent.
Affirm would not issue full refund and denied my dispute.
Had an issue with the second purchase being faulty. Affirm again would not hear me out.
I purchased an item using affirm. My wife did not recognize the purchase on our bank account and submitted a dispute. I quickly informed discover that the purchase was legitimate and they released the chargeback. I have been disputing with affirm about this chargeback since September. I have overpaid the account by $220 to attempt to keep the account status clear. They have just charged off the account due to non payment even though I have provided bank statements showing otherwise.
Affirm was double charging me for an accoun that I did not have with them, but are refusing to return the money to me.
I would like to file a complaint against affirm.
I had an fraudulent account opened with affirm in my name. I have filed and made a complaint with them regarding the account. Completed an affidavit with all information showing the account is fraud. It has been two months and they keep giving me the run around.
Affirm violated FCRA, accepted my negotiable instrument for payment, but refused to credit the account, reported account as late although they claim they don\'t charge late fees.
I was scammed by a business whom I purchased a service through Affirm payment plan, $3,500. The business did not perform the service as agreed upon and then blocked me. I contacted Affirm to dispute charges and give 58 supporting documentation, the business scammed me and did not complete services. Affirm informed me because the business website has no refunds on their website, (which was not there when I purchased), I am responsible for paying the full $3,500 loan.
Affirm billed me twice, but when check it\'s always an Amazon order. I checked this out and there were two (2) Buy Now Pay Later loans. On calling the company, I was told someone in my home is using my phone! I explained that I live alone. No help whatsoever!
Affirm created an account using my information (I never used affirm) and then authorized multiple charges in my name. I called to place a fraud alert the second I received the 7 email confirmations. They said they put a fraud alert on my account, but then they went through and confirmed all the purchases in my name. I don’t know what to do. I can’t see who is making these fraudulent purchases or how they got my info and affirm won’t stop them. I filed an identity theft report with the government.
For the pass four weeks I have received a barrage of telephone calls
emails and text messages pressing me for a payment of $84.28
I have advised Affirm that the order #114-4028669-0659435 have been
returned. The merchant claims they issued a refund that should have
been forwarded to Affirm.

Affirm is saying my account is past due 120 days as of June 2023, however I have a letter (multiple letters) verifying that my loan was paid in full on 6-17-23 and on 9-27-23 according their records. I was informed by an agent that the Bank of America claim I filed for not receiving the merchandise the loan funded triggered an investigation that required them to process a chargeback on September 30 after my loan had been paid off, and the system automatically recognized the loan as past due and initiated a chargeoff immediately. The agent confirmed that it was a system flaw. I have bank statements showing I made my payments and was notified my loan was paid in full back in June and in September 2023. I was never previously notified of the system generated past due chargeback potential or of that chargeoff potential until it was already initiated. The records are inaccurate and I need this removed please. These payment issues due are a result of fraud.
Affirm is really making it hard to pay them.
They tell me over the phone I am all paid up for the month. Somehow I get other loans . I have been a loyal customer with Affirm but I get lied too by customer service. I am really sad and on a fixed income.
I wanted to know if there is any legal action I can take against Affirm? For three months they have been taking two unauthorized payments from my account for loans I do not have. The ones in August that came out caused my rent payment to be returned and I was charged almost $300 worth of late and NSF fees, from which my complex will not return even though I advised it was due to fraud. The same amounts came out in Sept and then again in October. I have contacted Affirm’s customer care team multiple times and even escalated it to a supervisor and all I kept getting told is it will be escalated. I was hoping to get resolution before Oct in fear they would deduct again when my rent payment is scheduled to post in Oct and will receive late fees again. I sent a complaint to the BBB and the company didn’t respond. I emailed the CEO and their Chief Legal Officer and got no response from them. I later got an email from Affirm stating they have looked into my account and see that the amounts don’t belong to any of my loans and to get with my bank for chargebacks for someone using my card. But my card is not listed on any of my accounts, however, my banking information is. They did no research to see what loans those payments were tied to or try to stop the payments from coming through. I didn’t know if it was a typing error or if someone actually stole my account information, they told me nothing. I kept advising that if I report it as fraud to my bank, they would no longer let Affirm take out my payments for my open loans. I can’t tell you how frustrated I am, especially being a single mom in this economy and being the sole financial provider for my kid. I didn’t have $300 to waste on late fees due to their error and they have taken out $350 with of unauthorized payments. I feel helpless to know that I am just out of this money with no recourse. Can you help?
2 fraudulent Affirm loans were created from 2 Walmart orders made in August of 2023. I have talked with Walmart and proven that the purchases were not made from my Walmart account, but one similar to mines using my email and accessing my affirm account to make the purchases. I am on my second investigation with Affirm after they deemed the first to be false leaving me to pay for the loans. I have reached out to Affirm almost every other day throughout this month for more information on the current “investigation” but only get the same a investigation is taking place we will make a note for the team to contact you with more information and no one ever does. Now after not paying the September 10th bill they are now emailing and calling me asking to make a payment and threatening to harm my credit. I do not believe they are investigating my case, but are instead just going to try to force me to pay for something I did not purchase or damage my credit.
After several correspondences, Affirm is refusing to release me from a debt I do not owe as the transaction never went through. I attempted to secure a flight with Hotwire and there was an error with the app. Hotwire has sent me an email confirming there is no record of a purchase. Even with this proof, there is no resolve. I have written them three times since June and I am still appealing. I am exhausted and need help.
I wanted to purchase a house plan with modifications to suit my custom home. I received wrong product. The author of the original plan did not want to modify his plans. The reason to deny modifications was that the vendor who sales these plans did not instruct or inform the author that I wanted a modified plan. Because of the vendor’s error I tried to reason with vendor, author, and Affirm about a refund to no avail. I seek Justice, help.
Affirm is in default w/ dishonor as they refuse to perform a discharge or mutual offset. They failed to provide a notice of dishonor & refused to provide their legal/corporate contact info.
We never had any business done with affirm. Affirm have been withdrawing fund from my business account for past 4 months. After I reported the fraud to affirm and they said they will stop but another withdrawal from affirm appeared on my business account again.
I purchased a product through a scam website (didn\'t realize) financed through Affirm under a different company name that was never delivered. I called Affirm and said it was a scam and to open a dispute within 30 days of purchase June 3, 2023. I called two more times and still no response and kept sending notices I was overdue on my loan. I finally filed a complaint with the BBB and as of 8-29-23 Affirm finally placed my loan into a dispute. The company the loan is under has no information about my purchase made through the other company. I did try to dispute the loan through Experian but they say it is accurate even though I have complained three times it was fraud and a scam.
My account was hacked for 10,000 dollars and change I filled out a fraud form and they won’t do anything about it I have very could credit and have always paid in full they did not even contact me to verify the large amount. In the past they have reached out to see if it was me I know it’s my word against theirs so I’m at a loss and customer service is no help
I purchased a custom dog crate through a private merchant. The payment method was affirm. Merchant didn\'t make the crate. I had the date pushed out further 2x. Merchant cancelled order and refunded. Affirm says they didn\'t get the refund. I\'ve spent hours on the phone. I have confirmation in writing but affirm says I still have to pay them. I disputed it on my credit card so they sent my account to collections for them to harass me. I keep sending affirm all the proof of the Merchant rescheduling expected date, refund info and such and filed two disputes. They just keep saying I owe cause I\'m outside the dispute window... but the first expected date for the crate was 12 weeks and they said i only had 60 days so how was I to know I\'d need to dispute. They are crooks.
Affirm Inc is not being honest and transparent in following banking, lending laws.
My account was changed to someone else’s name and now it no longer shows I owe on my account yet I keep receiving emails about im in collections I’ve tried to pay it at first since i did receive the goods however I wasn’t able to after the name changed on my account. I use to have a 4000 credit with them never was i late and always paid my loans off up until this happened. Every time I call they say I don’t owe anything and the accounts I give them are not mines but still connected to my address and phone.
Currently I can’t get approved for anything with affirm despite my account doesn’t show negative statements or payments
I placed an order mid May for a couch and loveseat and used Affirm as my payment method. I received the couch that was ordered, along with another couch that wasn’t even the same style or color as the one ordered, but not the loveseat. I filed a dispute with Affirm and received a message yesterday that I am responsible for payment even though I never received the loveseat. I provided them with photos of what was received, the invoices, and continuous email thread where the company has failed to do anything to get the issue resolved. There is no way they can rule in favor of the company with the evidence I provided.
I returned an item to Amazon and Amazon states they never received it. Affirm is still billing me for returned goods.
I put an order on July 7 the order never processed now the 20 still nothing so I ask them to refund my deposit every week they telling me something I feel they not even helping they keep saying 5-7 business day still nothing
Charging me for a fraud company that didn’t send an item and still want me to pay. Over 3000.00 couch was ordered. They have 780.00 of my money and wasn’t more when I have no item. They call me twice a day every day which is actually over the limit they are allowed and harassment.
I purchased an item from a fraudulent website and I used Affirm, Inc. as payment. I never received the product I ordered.
I filed a complaint with Affirm but Affirm said I was responsible for the payment even though I never received the product.
I want Affirm to refund me the funds I am due & I\'m requesting your assistance with this matter. Thank you.
Affirm has put me in collections for $346 after I disputed the loan within 30 days, but they would not resolve and continue to report me to the credit agencies and put negative impact on my credit score
Affirm screwed me over back in December when I asked for forbearance until I could get my life back together. They said submit the paperwork and the app kept getting an error message. They left me drowning for over 16 days and then closed it out without ever acknowledging anything, filed a CFPB complaint and they were very unhelpful. I also kept stating that I am hard of hearing and I prefer messaging and emails and I don’t want to be taken advantage of because of my disability, I basically got “too bad use a family member to help you”. This is unacceptable. Since they haven’t helped me, I had to sell off my car to pay the majority of my loans off,
But now there’s 8 loans still sitting in charge off and I have requested they be sent to their collections partners because they have actually been helpful and have worked with me and my disability. I’m a disabled veteran and any help I can get is appreciated. I have filed another CFPB complaint because of the way I was treated over my disability and the fact that 8 loans are still sitting with them and they want me to call when I can’t understand what’s being said over the phone because of my hearing impairment. During this time they have reported $0 balance loans as derogatory or delinquent and current accounts as derogatory or delinquent when this is false. I feel like this was done in retaliation.
Affirm has allowed someone to hack my account and make an unauthorized purchase and is doing nothing to help me!!
Affirm has decided that I am responsible for unauthorized charges. The item in question was also never delivered. I should have been easily refunded. The item is now on my credit file.
Affirm has charged me for an unauthorized purchase. I have reached out to them four times, but they refuse to listen, and continue to pursue me for a lot of money that I\'m not responsible for.
Affirm is saying I am responsible for a loan I did not use.
I have tried to work with them, and they refuse to remove the loan from me.
I bought a battery financed through Affirm in July 2022. The battery tech shorted out my car\'s electronics.
I called to explain to Affirm I needed a refund, the roadside company agreed to it. They insisted on continuing collecting even after I received a copy of the order invoice and the damage to my car was reimbursed by Progressive for over $5,000.00 for service to correct the issue.
Affirm assured me there would be an investigation, however they sent the account to collections and my credit dropped with Experian by almost 100 points.
If someone could please assist me, I\'d appreciate it.
I do have supporting documents for email threads between me and the battery company, copy of the repair invoice and confirmation that Wells Fargo reversed 1st month\'s installment and un-authorized Affirm.
Thank you!
Affirm mishandling of consumer loan
A fradulent loan was taken out in my name by affirm. I even told their automated system to not authroize it anyway. They are refusing to remove it. If it costs me nothing Id like to sue them at this point as I have called and called and theyve done nothing to remove it. I want damages if I can get them

Affirm locked my access to my account. It was after a fraud situation however when I try to regain access through customer service they say they will send me an email to reset it and they never send the email. When I call back to inquire why I didn’t get the email they claim they have no acknowledgment that I called the first time. Every call I get the same message and a “promise” that they personally will send the email and it never comes. The kicker is I have to wait 3-5 business days to “receive” this phantom email. This has been going on for over 6 months
I purchased a program via Affirm from Calibrate. Calibrate was canceled due to non availability of physicians for over a month but would not extend the service for that time. So I canceled, I have called affirm and they keep closing the case and calling me several times a day and emailing. I have received nothing from Calibrate for my return of funds. They may be another company for you to go after lots of unhappy customers right now.
I ordered a pool table that didn\'t ship within the time frame they stated so I canceled the order. I contacted Affirm many times by email and by phone and sent them all correspondence email document
Affirm, Inc. has stolen money from me twice. They are currently charging me for a fraud purchase that was canceled and returned by Verizon Wireless. I can not get them to stop billing me. In the past they charged me for an item that was backordered and never delivered.
Affirm report inaccurate information
Much rather speak to someone then type it.
I was victim of a scam I feel was within their organization and Affirm holding me responsible for the debt and I did not make any of the charges.
I used Affirm alot. No issues. Last year May 2022, I hired someone to build & transport 2 cages for my pet caiman lizards. I paid using Affirms virtual credit card. $1,010 was paid to Rocking T\'s Property Restoration. This merchant didn\'t use PayPal or Cash App or Square. They used Stripe. I don\'t know how that stuff works but anyway I received an angry email from merchant stating that I cancelled payment. I never cancelled anything. They forwarded the email they received from their payment processor stating the customer cancelled payment because it was unauthorized blah blah blah. Anyway I attempted to contact Stripe. No luck. You have to have an account. The issue: I paid the merchant but the payment processor wouldn\'t release the funds to them.
I contacted Affirm.
I provided evidence & they opened a dispute. I kept checking my account & it stated \"in progress\" for 4 months. In October it stated \"Charged Off\" & that\'s the only thing I ever found out about my dispute. I called customer service & was told the account was charged off for my failure to pay. Dispute was never resolved! I logged into my account & it said \"in process\" yet again. I received an email Feb 1, 2023 & was told dispute was resolved in merchants favor. I\'m responsible for remaining payments. Feb 2,2023 I check my email so I can get the number to call Affirm to find out if I can appeal their so called resolution & there\'s another email from them stating as of Feb 2, 2023 the remaining amount is charged off! Huh? Why? During disputes they don\'t accept payments. So why charge off for failure to pay? Also I know for a fact they never contacted the merchant becuse I\'m in constant communication with them. I had to pay them when the payment processor refused to release the money from Affirm. They have tried numerous times to get Stripe to issue a refund & Stripe stated they would do so. Still no refund. Now I can\'t pay Affirm if I wanted to. Their policy states no payments during open disputes. Plus how can they charge the same account off 2 times? They\'re ruining my credit. I want to be reimbursed for what I had to pay the merchant. I doubt they even looked at the evidence they requested from me. The merchant agrees with me. Affirms decision is based on bull****.
I hope you guys can help me. I went to the arbitration website but the fees are over $900.
Thank you.
Affirm over-charged me interest and refuses to refund me, according to the language clearly stated in their loan terms.
Affirm charged my 4 times yesterday for a purchase where I had an amount due. They attempted to charge me a 5 time. They now have 600 dollars that does not belong to them and sent an email saying it was a glitch. When I called in yesterday the representative said there was no one I could escalate this to. They essentially stole money from my account that I need and that did not belong to them
affirm has orders that I did not make and I submitted to them proof of 1 such purchase that I did not make at Amazon with proof from Amazon
They are refusing to raise a dispute for a failed transaction with Airfrance back in june 2022. I sent all evidence, communication from the merchant saying the funds should have reversed, the merchant emails saying that the transaction did not go through. Even affirm email saying that the transaction did not go through. They are stealing over $750 by just saying they don\'t have enough evidence to support the claim. No one is trying to help and dispute department is not trying to raise the dispute . So they stole my $750 plus the payments I am still making toward my loan which will be over $1500
Selected affirm as a payment option at Target- items were cancelled bc they were not in stock- and items were never taken into my possession. This was Nov 9th. Affirm states my “loan” took effect on Nov 14th! Target had already refunded them on No. 9th. I had provided all documentation from target and proof of refund to affirm- yet affirm is telling me no refund was ever sent and that I am still liable for the entire amount. This is INSANE! HElllllp!
