Hi Barbara. Debt collectors are permitted to contact friends and family in an attempt to secure accurate contact information for the consumer they are looking for. Did they divulge any personal information about your son to his siblings? If they did, they could be in violation of the law. We can discuss this further when I give you a call. Thanks, Mike

A collection agency requesting a call back to Jessica at 877-483-0159, referencing case #DA 432115, called my daughter on her cell phone and left a message and also texted my son on his cell phone, about their brother who is psychologically disabled an on SSI. My son, who they were calling about is Trevor Clark. This is unacceptable, unconscionable and constitutes invasion of privacy as well as harassment. I have no idea how they got his sister's and brother's cell phone numbers. I have not called them to find out who they are because I don't want to jeopardize my handicapped son's legal rights against them. I intend to file a formal complaint with the office of the state attorney general.
