Vermilion County, with the county seat of Danville, has a population of 81,625 as of the most recent U.S. Census. The county is named for the Vermilion River.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Vermilion County has a total area of 901.28 square miles, of which 898.37 square miles consists of land and 2.91 square miles is water.
Major Highways
Vermilion County has a largely agricultural community, as well as many residents working in manufacturing, transportation, and retail, keeping its roadways busy.
