Woodford County, with the county seat of Eureka, has a population of 38,664 according to the most recent U.S. Census. The county is named for General William Woodford, an officer of the American Revolutionary War.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Woodford County has a total area of 543 square miles, of which 428 square miles consists of land and 15 square miles consists of water.
