NCO Group, Inc., is headquartered in Horsham, Pennsylvania. One of its subsidiaries is , Inc., a collection agency. is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, collection agencies in the world. NCO employs approximately 30,000 people in over 100 locations throughout the world. NCO’s collection agency division caters to financial services, healthcare, commercial and retail, technology, telecommunications, education, utility, and government sectors.

According to its Web site, “NCO’s third-party collection service imparts a sense of urgency upon seriously delinquent customers during these periods, reducing net write-offs and the cost of collecting after charge-off.” Imparting “a sense of urgency” on consumers may increase return, but it also creates problems for  trying to comply with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The FDCPA has been around for almost 35 years. The FDCPA is a federal law that applies to every state. In other words, everyone is protected by the FDCPA. The FDCPA is essentially a laundry list of what debt collects can and cannot do while collecting a debt, as well as things debt collectors must do while collecting a debt.

According to the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER), NCO has been sued over 1000 times in the last 3 years. It does not get any better for NCO on the Better Business Bureau, either. First NO is not an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau. Second, NCO has an F rating! The Better Business Bureau processed 729 billing/collection issues regarding NCO in the last three years. Furthermore, NCO has 1064 customer complaints in general over the last three years.

However, customer complaints are not NCO’s biggest problem on the Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau reflects Government action taken against NCO in multiple states. For example, in 2008, NCO paid civil fines in Texas for using verbally coercive collection tactics and collecting from people who did not owe the debt. In 2012, NCO paid civil penalties in Minnesota for not properly screening employees and hiring known felons.

NCO has a host of numbers it places collection calls from. NCO may be calling you from the following telephone numbers: 800-413-0134, 215-441-3000, 866-637-0271, 866-401-2139, 888-226-9244, 800-295-6724, 888-475-6741, 877-682-4843, 215-618-3091, 800-728-3346, 866-815-5318, 877-847-0092, 757-990-8983, 866-854-2113, 800-624-1839, 800-820-6829, 877-871-9436, 866-889-6745, 866-401-2140, 918-280-0811, 866-360-9791, 800-747-6058, 206-456-0661, 877-533-8998, 866-506-2667, 866-825-4934, 800-569-9633, 888-899-1591, 888-217-9861, 866-579-5912, 888-432-3151, 866-348-6585, 614-827-7500, 360-230-1611, 866-873-3979, 800-621-6986, 800-249-2645, 866-770-8762, 877-212-9585, 866-626-1910, 408-538-5161, 866-711-4718, 417-875-2212, 800-218-1175, 866-816-1066, 866-276-3299, 800-520-7427, 866-671-7222, 602-263-1141, 513-201-6303, 517-780-0216, 877-212-7434, 800-303-1043, 866-372-8497, 866-479-4709, 877-228-6445, 888-691-9674, 800-747-6088, 877-344-5503, 757-990-8982, 800-735-9592, 616-223-2043, 918-665-8200, 877-394-8289, 877-517-1978, 888-853-6950, 571-431-1948, 410-202-0072, 240-210-7142, 888-497-9800, 571-252-7568, 877-567-1540, 973-482-3624, 888-475-6744, 866-894-0261, 800-511-8670, 800-897-0308, 828-365-1084, 310-862-9083, 888-485-8975, 877-784-1999, 866-456-0695, 800-782-1758, 541-485-4555, 877-567-4835, 800-334-0626, 866-934-7381, 800-240-0381, 866-319-8981, 866-447-9306, 888-281-7785, 877-569-2763, 866-473-9021, 877-273-3495, 877-373-5807, 800-785-1426, 877-354-2823, 866-626-6106, 877-723-1251, 866-749-7381, 614-791-4717, 800-727-8444, 888-899-8034, 888-394-0494, 972-546-1548, 866-772-6277, 888-788-7033, 866-429-3592, 888-637-0271, 877-363-0954, 866-613-4835, 888-899-5861, 800-877-4127, 888-680-2954, 301-223-0072, 425-652-3215, 603-589-7556, 650-230-1968, 800-252-9048, 800-477-1827, 800-685-4343, 800-735-6588, 800-818-1582, 800-979-6560, 866-448-4115, 866-698-5775, 866-870-8316, 877-825-4011, 888-648-2797, 888-899-8041, 314-627-5579, 434-533-9062, 704-523-8444, 800-260-5570, 800-350-2457, 800-688-3390, 800-748-0052, 804-234-9068, 866-285-0367, 866-376-1967, 866-663-8609, 866-776-8221, 877-447-4492, 877-843-7429, 888-305-9715, 888-665-9900, 216-939-0634, 408-418-5569, 571-261-0072, 615-942-0175, 716-625-4164, 800-275-2105, 800-445-4918, 800-550-9626, 800-709-8325, 800-786-9330, 800-924-3587, 866-287-2543, 866-626-7103, 866-833-1704, 877-860-8153, 888-454-4011, 223-051-6100, 716-625-4192, 800-303-1410, 800-448-9570, 800-624-2054, 800-709-8623, 800-956-4638, 865-426-4298, 866-290-3933, 866-412-0810, 866-626-9115, 866-695-3013, 877-268-4294, 877-567-1544, 877-888-2101, 888-601-0823, 888-899-5950, 866-278-1213, 800-233-1486, 800-711-0454, 800-221-6850, 866-239-3195, 888-432-3516, 800-759-2224, 800-275-5196, 253-248-6406, 888-245-3420, 866-265-1913, 877-716-6788, 800-373-7997, 866-849-2442, 416-932-4500, 888-899-4778, 405-521-3011, 919-913-0968, 800-638-5630, 800-709-8625, 800-597-4549, 223-051-6400, 877-264-1790, 888-899-1592, 313-444-2907, 800-688-7929, 800-273-6816, 516-222-7100

I have no idea what "Bill" they are referring to but I'm not about to even speak to some dickhead about something that's none of their business. If I owe money to these people have them send me a bill, but if not have someone that claims I owe them bill me. These jerkoffs call me at the worst time and it's always a recording.

Hi Dean, if there's a recorded message when you answer the phone, it's likely you are getting robocalls. Have you received a letter about this debt? I'd like to help you figure out why you are getting these calls, and then we can stop the calls. Either way, I'm familiar with NCO, robocalls, and your frustrations. We'll discuss your rights and options on the phone. Thanks, Mike.
