My husband and I received a letters in the mail from several different lawyers making us aware that MCA (Merchant Credit Adjustors) is suing us. I am emailing you because I want to know what we should do at this point. Is it best to contact MCA and see if we can settle out of court with a payment arrangement?? Thanks in advance for your help!

I have received a garnishment from merchants credit adjusters on something I don't even remember getting served paperwork on. What makes it worse is it's for an amt of around 28,000.00 and I don't know what I would have out there to collect for that amt. I'm really frustrated.

Violation of the FDCA? I have a debt from 2004 - medical - that was included in CH 13 BK filing in 2007 bk discharged in 2012 and now MCA is trying to collect on it. Have another debt, bad check from 2008 for $480 dollars, they are tacking on interest of over $500 and attempting to collect over $1000 for this debt. Is there a number that I can reach that particular attorney at. I don't want to be bothered by a bunch of phone calls. No, I've informed MCA that the debt was included in my bk, i've informed them that they are not permitted to charge interest on the face value of the check, but they don't care, they keep trying to collect. I think that pretty much sums it up!

They sent my son a letter in the mail saying they were garnishing his wages. The loan on the truck the bank never picked up in only in my name. My sons name is on the title only. How is this possible. The loan was for less than 4,000 I had it paid down to around 2,500 and they by their paperwork are garnishing his wages for the amount of 11,000 or more.
