Dish Network LLC is an American telecommunications company, based out of Englewood, CO. Dish offers a range of satellite television services, all of which require a contract, tied to a bank account or credit card. The Better Business Bureau has received quite a few complaints about Dish’s billing and collections branch—over 5077 in the last year alone (and almost 7,000 complaints over its products). And the Federal Trade Commission filed a formal complaint against Dish’s Illinois operation, which called millions of people who had already requested placement on their do not call list.

What happens, though, if you find yourself in financial difficulty and you cannot pay your Dish bills? Well, you’re not alone. If Dish is contacting you to collect a debt, whether you owe it or not, Dish must follow the law.

I was a Customer with Dish Network, 6 yrs in the Bay area, and then a One year,- transferred account in Mariposa County Ca, I left dish, due to double billing, false charges, poor installation, Lousy Agents, I was continually given perks in Lew, of mistakes by Company. when I left I was told I had no debt; " in fact the Company Dish Network; owed me 54.00, I returned equipment properly paid the freight, now I'm continually harassed for an " early disconnect charge claiming i broke my Contract, in truth i extended my contract another year! Furious," this company has absolutely; no; integrity!'

In January I canceled my Dish Network account because of the decision they made to cancel Fox News. I was told to return the equipment using the shipping cartons and UPS shipping label they would supply. I did exactly as instructed and received a shipping confirmation from UPS. UPS lost one of the cartons and Dish has charged me close to $300. I have spoken with Dish on four separate times. The first three they assured me they would go back to UPS. Today I received a call from them telling me they wanted to help me and transferred me to some guy in the office of the president, ha ha telling me that I needed to contact UPS for resolution of the matter. I ask to get that in writing and he said he couldn't but anything in writing. After an increasing heated conversation, I hung up the phone after requesting that they stop calling me and communicate in writing and he said they didn't have to. Is there something you can do to help?

My mom put me as a contact on her dish Contract as she didn't have a phone at the time, and I received the calls from the installer, as expected, and then nothing for months. Now, after she's moved, they won't leave me alone. They keep asking for her, but she lives over 12 hours away. I don't care about her dealings with them or their dealings with her, but they call me at work, at home, on the go, I've spoken to someone I can only assume works in the corporate office, and they said that they would have it taken care of. Well, tonight I spoke to a supervisor after they called me AGAIN, and they said "well, we see where our IT guys tried to remove it", and I told him point blank, take my number off and ensure the success of the removal or I'm calling a lawyer. I'm getting sick of these phone calls, and I'm ready to put them out of business completely over this. The time I put into speaking to this company is priceless to me, so I want to ensure that these people understand that.

i do owe a bill. they can never get billing right. we sent a reciever back to them over a year ago and the take it off everytime we call after spending an hour or more on hold waitng on them to fix it. and i was in surgery and now in rehab for my left arm i am left handed extreme pain for 4 months before surgery and now im in rehab no funds to give them for the past few months!

I was a happy customer with dish for three years then there was a mistake on one bill I called and tryed to work it out but ended up canceling service we have not reached an agreement on the bill and there solution is to harass me with phone calls. They are so lame!

I'm sending this email on behalf of my dad, Clarence Cook. We fairly recently switched from Dish to Directv. One of things we were required to do was send the equipment back, which we did. Well, about 3 or 4 months ago, we got a bill in the mail, saying we owed $268.40, claiming we never sent the equipment back. So I called Dish, and the man I spoke to checked his computer and told me that they HAD received the equipment back and to disregard the bill. Well, a few weeks ago, they tried the same stunt again, claiming we owed $268.40, for equipment not being sent back. We should not pay what we do not owe. And we do not owe them anything. This constitutes harassment, plain and simple. They're trying to take advantage of someone who's on a fixed income (my dad is 74 and on Social Security). They've had over 7,000 complaints lodged against them with the Better Business Bureau; well, they can add my name to the list. I want them to stop sending us bills for something we do not owe. I want them to stop calling us. I want all the harassment to stop, completely!

I was a happy customer with dish for three years then had one issue with one bill I g period and they were unreasonable and I had to cancel service. We still do not agree on the bill and now they are calling me at random times through out the day and night. I am willing to negotiate a final amount owed but they are trying to terrorize me with phone calls unroll they get there way it's not right!

I am doing this for my mom Janet. She is 87. In november my mom wanted to consolidate her TV, phone and internet. When she did I called dish Network for her and said send bill and service fee to home. Also send shipping box for dish box. They have raised the amount of her bill plus disconnection fee. They call 2 to three times a hour. I told them she is on fixed income and she will mail check in February. They call 2-3 times an hour still strong arming her upsetting her. I was not here when she signed up for dish. She could not have read contract because her eye sight is bad even with glasses. She has always paid her bills but this is ridiculous. She is talking with them i will help her!

My name is Erik. I have been a faithful Dish customer for a year and a half. I had problems with Dish network, so I switched to Xfinity cable and internet. I wasn't even away from dish a day and harassing collection phone calls started now it seems to be everyday I receive countless calls to my cell phone from dish network!

We moved to georgia from Hawaii on April 25 2020 disconeected our service effective 4-27, and paid the final bill. The people who bought our house returned all the equipment in Dish's return boxes. We then got a bill for $76.00 which they have yet to send me an invoice showing what it covers, even though I requested it 5 times, and have now threatened to put me into collection for $433.00 for unreturned equipment. We have explained this to them at least 20 times, and have sent them a letter telling them to stop contacting us. since then, they have contacted us 32 times on various numbers starting with prefixes 866 855 or 415. I want these people to leave us alone.

Dish network has call me a lot harassing me about dish box that I return in June. Keep telling me send them I have already return them and they have a charge on my credit report for it.
