An emergency or tight financial stretch can result in missing payments on your phone bill, a loan, or a medical bill. Companies assign these accounts to debt collection agencies that often violate the law in their attempt to collect on the debt. Don’t let debt collectors like AmSher Collection Services bully you over a missed payment.

Seeking assistance from a reliable debt collection attorney can get the debt collector to back off from using harassing methods. If your well-being is suffering from AmSher’s aggressive behavior, a consumer protection attorney can help you put an end to the badgering.

What Is AmSher Collection Services?

AmSher Collection Services is a debt collection agency focusing on accounts receivables recovery for clients in the healthcare, telecommunication, property management, commercial and financial service markets. The debt collection company’s headquarters are in Birmingham, Alabama, while the organization has two additional locations outside the United States; one in Panama and another in Jamaica.

What Are Consumers Saying About AmSher Collection Services?

AmSher Collection Services has a profile with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), where the company is listed as AmSher Receivables Management. The company has been accredited with the BBB since 1986 and has a B+ rating. However, AmSher has a 1 out of 5-star rating from 15 customer reviews.

Furthermore, the debt collection agency has 344 complaints from consumers. Many complaints concern bills with companies such as Tmobile, and several consumers dispute the validity of the debts AmSher attributes to them.

How Can Debt Collection Harassment Impact Your Life?

Debt collection harassment can have a significant impact on your life. Not only can it lead to financial stress, but it can also cause emotional anguish. State and federal laws prohibit AmSher Collection Services and other debt collectors from:

  • Constantly calling you at all hours with the intent to annoy
  • Falsely representing authority
  • Using aggressive and intimidating language
  • Threatening to garnish your wages or arrest you

The constant phone calls and letters from creditors can be extremely stressful, and the threat of legal action can take a toll on your mind and body. The pressure from debt collectors can lead to anxiety and anger, a condition known as Debt-Anger Syndrome. This syndrome happens when consumers move past the state of denial or depression regarding their debt into a phase where they are constantly angry at the people around them.

The stress of debt can also lead to physical consequences on consumers’ health. For example, you may suffer elevated blood pressure, heart arrhythmias, memory issues, and a compromised immune system due to a collection account.

If creditors are harassing you, it’s essential to seek professional help as soon as possible. An experienced debt relief attorney can protect your rights and help you find a relevant resolution to your specific financial situation. Don’t let debt collection harassment ruin your life.

How a Consumer Protection Attorney Can Help You Fight Collections Harassment

Debt collectors are known for their aggressive tactics. If a debt collector is harassing you, you may feel like there’s nowhere to turn. However, it’s important not to despair and to understand that a consumer protection attorney can help you fight back.

If a debt collector violates the law, you may be able to sue them for damages. Before pursuing a lawsuit, you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, your state consumer financial protection bureau, or the state attorney general.

A consumer protection attorney can help determine if a debt collector has violated the Federal Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). This federal law details how AmSher and other debt collectors must treat consumers. Besides legal advice, an attorney can represent you in court, if necessary. They can also negotiate with the debt collector on your behalf to try to resolve the situation before escalating to a trial.

If you’ve already paid the debt, but the item remains with the credit bureaus, you’ll need to remove AmSher Collection services from your credit report. Debt collectors often fail to expedite credit repair and sometimes neglect to pursue the matter on consumers’ behalf. A knowledgeable lawyer can help you negotiate with AmSher to have the account removed and restore your credit score.

I have a T Mobile account that just showed up as a collection on my credit report from Amsher and also Hunter Warfield for an apartment deposit. I would like to negotiate lesser amounts and negotiate to get them removed from my credit report. Thanks!
