Hi Rachquel. If the debt collector is divulging your information to others, they could be violating your rights and you may be entitled to compensation. Have you requested a debt validation letter yet? That will allow you to determine if the debt they are calling about is legitimate or not. I can help you with this--my law firm is experienced in dealing with debt collectors and debt collection agencies and we can be your advocate against this threatening behavior. I will give you a call or you can contact us at 888-572-0176. Thanks for sharing your story, it helps other consumers to see that they are not alone. I look forward to speaking with you, Mike

Hi. If you're getting a call from the number listed, it is likely from the Law Office of D. Scott Carruthers, a debt collector. They are likely calling you in regard to a debt they have purchased from your original creditor. Are you aware of any debts you may owe? You can find out this information with a debt validation request. I can help you with this, feel free to contact me at my office at your earliest convenience. Thanks, Mike

Hi Carlos. Unfortunately, debt collectors are known for their less-than-stellar customer service skills. Harassment is not permitted under the law and if you are dealing with it, you may be entitled to compensation. I would like to speak with you further--give me a call. Thanks, Mike

Hi Lori. Debt collectors are not permitted to threaten or harass you. They hope that people will fall for these tactics and send them money, which unfortunately works much of the time. I would suggest you contact my office so we can work together to get these calls to stop. I will be your advocate and prevent the Law Office of D. Scott Carruthers from intimidating you further. Hi Maurice. Have you informed them to contact your bankruptcy attorney regarding your debt? That would be a good place to start. Your lawyer should then deal with them accordingly. If you need further assistance, give me a call. Thanks, Mike

Hi Griselda. You're wise to not give them your credit card information before you're even sure if the debt is legitimate. You can verify this debt and I can help you. I will be in touch with you to discuss how. Thanks, Mike
I received a call from Law Offices of Scott Carruthers office saying they have my loan of 3,097.00. I never received a loan from Loan Me for that amount. They said the total amount is actually 45,000.00 because I failed to pay the loan back. They wanted my credit card info first before they can send me an agreement for a payment plan. I did not give them that info so they hung up on me. I am in California and the only loan amount I have received was for $2,000.00
Law Offices of Scott Caruthers is harassing me about an account that I do not have
These people keep robo calling me every few even during the corona virus quarantine. I told them on the first call that I already settled that debt 2 years ago and now they are asking me to prove it. I had this problem 6 months ago with a different collector (integrated recovery) so I sent them proof and they stopped calling me. I think Cashcall is also to blame here and 3rd party debt collectors are going to keep popping up.
This company continues to call me after I have requested that they stop the calls. They are now harassing me at my place of employment. D Scott Carruthers are a collection agency that attempts to bully and threaten you into taking their calls. So unprofessional.
constant calling and harassing
They keep calling and harassing me. Calling my landlord and my other contacts. This needs to stop. I want to report to police.
I am getting a calls from a collector after I told them to stop calling and the debt itself is not even mine!
Nathan from phone number (714) 236-9700 is harassing me calling my family members and my job!
I have filled for chapter 13 bankruptcy and this law firm is still calling me. All my prior creditors are listed on the bankrupt fillings.
This number called me at work on my cell phone several times in a row--- saying I took out a loan with some company I DID NOT. When I told him to take my number off the list and never call me again and that I know it is a scam--- he proceeded to raise his voice and yell at me stating he knows where I live and where I work and he knows what I look like. He called me a liar and said that I know because he has left me several messages and I would call back and ask whtat it was about if I didn't take a loan with this company. This is very scary that these people are so recklessly making threats to innocent hard working people like myself. I am getting very concerned. What do I do?

I got a call yesterday from this place, the person made that called was so rude I told him i was working he didn't stop talking , need professional peoples. He was harassing me so bad.
keeps calling everyday and doesn't leave a message. call the number back and it says all the lines are busy.
They constantly call my work place where i cant even take personal calls and continue to ask my coworkers to speak with me when we are all working and busy and ive told them not to call i cant take calls but they still do
These people call multiple times a day, and my employer. I asked for validation, they would not do anything over the phone, then claimed they had and just kept threatening to sue me, when I asked for the title of the person calling, he said I am a bill collector, and if I wanna get sued, he will see me in court. I explained, I hear all the calls in the background, it sounds like a boiler room collection agency, they told my staff they were an attorney contacting me
Thanks Mark
This person has called my work number 2 tims, my personal number 3 times, an associates number 3 times all before 2 p.m. claiming I owe them $12,000+. I do not appreciate the false claims and refuse to accept being harassed about them. Please assist me it making stopping these calls and ensuring myself as well as others are not being scammed into giving these people money. Thank you for your help.
