I’ve been receiving calls from Simms Associates for about two years. I became totally and permanently disabled in 2016. I was able to get my federal student loans discharged, but my private student lenders refused to discharge my private student loans - I appealed their decision several times. On the advice of a student loan lawyer, and after discussing it with several financial counselors, I allowed the loans to default. Every time Simms calls me I explain the situation, and request not to be called. There is literally nothing I can do - I live on SSDI and barely make ends meet. They don’t call often, maybe once every few months, but talking to them is really stressful.
I had 4 private student loans serviced by various collectors over time. Simm’s is one, MRS Associates is another, and there have been others as well.

This number keeps calling, looking for my son. I do not answer but they leave the same message. I have asked my son about it and he says that he is current on all of his bills. I will not let him call this number back. Please advise

If you are not Nalica, please hang up. This is Candice Kooper with Simms Associate. This communication is from a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. Please contact me at 18665728791. Please refer to file number 10783290."!

Simms Associates are contacting me for a debt that has possibly already been handled earlier in the year, they will not give me any additional information/proof of their collection.
