I hit up Mike Agruss Law, because I was out on a first date and the individual that I was seeing, his dog ended up biting my hand pretty badly. I ended up getting put out of work for a few weeks and at first he was accommodating and he agreed to pay whatever was left after insurance, blah, blah, blah. A few weeks later we stopped seeing each other, it just didn’t work out and I thought the feeling was mutual except he ended up getting a little bit petty. So when I asked him again and I was like, “Hey, you did put me out of work a few weeks and I do still have these hospital bills. I didn’t call on your dog like we agreed.” I’m like, “So I still do need you to pay these regardless.” And he ended up refusing and a friend of mine that I was talking to who has way more experience in this than myself, he said to hit up a contingency lawyer and see what we could do.
So that’s why we’re here. So I chose Agruss initially because they were a lot more welcoming on the phone and when I first called them, they didn’t ask about money first or how much I, or they, could potentially get out of it. They didn’t even ask me, “Does this person even have insurance that I can go after?” They just wanted to know the details of my story and if they could help.
I wasn’t expecting to get much at all out of it but I did, so that was good. Like I said, it wasn’t really know… I didn’t know what to expect too much. Things were over much faster than I was initially told would probably happen and my bills were taken care of and I got compensated for my loss of work and it was a gratifying experience.
Honestly. One of the best things is that I didn’t have to do very much. I didn’t have to see the other individual at all basically. I didn’t have to go to any of the court dates. They were like, “We’ll take care of it, don’t worry.” And yeah, that was probably the best part is I didn’t have to deal with him at all. Fortunately none of my friends or family haven’t been in peril recently, but yeah, if any of them did say, any issues, I would definitely recommend them.
