One type of injury that can come from certain accidents is broken bones. One type of bone fracture injury is a pathological fracture. If you or a loved one has sustained a pathological fracture from an accident, contact Mike Agruss Law for a free consultation so we can help you recover from this experience and get fairly compensated.

A pathological fracture is a broken bone caused by disease, rather than an impact injury. Some medical conditions or diseases make bones weaker, so a person is more likely to break one. Some of these diseases include cancer, osteoporosis, and many other types of bone conditions. These fractures would have the same general symptoms as others, such as swelling, tenderness, redness, or bruising. A doctor will conduct an examination and some tests to diagnose the pathological fracture. Depending on the severity of the bone and the condition that caused it, you may require anything from rest to a cast, to surgery. Your doctor will be able to tell you what the appropriate procedure will be according to your injury.
