Hello I'm not certain if my situation can be considered harrassment but I'm definitely feeling rattled and uncomfortable after the phone call I received from Asset Receivable. The representative left a voicemail to me, my mother and my father threatening to take me to court and get an order for my arrest. I had only one missed call from the company and didn't have a chance to return the call before my "references" we're contacted. I have always returned calls from this company. I defaulted on an ACH on October 15 but was not aware that the payment did not clear. I made arrangements to take care of the missed payment and to pay the account in full on Nov 10. I asked the representative why she continues to threaten to have me arrested. Her explanation was that "they" want to take me to court so "they'll" get more money. I let her know this doesn't answer my question about her threat to arrest me and that I feel she might have violated the fair debt collection practices act. She then told me,"whatever," and hung up on me. I'm very upset. She has my personal and banking information and has threatened me with being arrested multiple times. Is she truly able to do this to me??

I received multiple calls regarding a debt with a cc company. The voicemail had a case ID and stated I was due to appear in court although I never received any communication about a court date. They left voicemails on my parents phone Brothers phone and my own cell phone stating that I needed to call back asap. I called today and they told me that if I hung up, I have forfeited my rights and a judgment would be held against me. The man kept stating I needed to make a payment now to avoid going to jail and court. They said someone would be coming to my place of employment and my home to take me to jail. Reluctantly, I paid $500 and they sent me an email with my upcoming payment plan to settle a debt. I'm terrified so I called my bank and tried to put a stop payment on the $500. We are opening an investigation because I have had nothing in writing.

I am US Army with a Security Clearance. I was harrassed by the Global Resolutions Services for a year now stating I owed a bank called Fifth Bank on an account I closed in 2007. Pressured me to believe that after closing some drafts were made out of the account and kept telling me i was going to be served with court documents. They had my social, past names, addresses and all kinds of information about me so i believed them. I told them multiple times i wanted to dispute the case because i knew i owed nothing to fifth bank and it's taken them until now to contact me. 2 days ago they called again telling me that i missed a court date in another state, South Carolina that i haven't been stationed at since July 2017. Told me to call the number similar to one of your complaints for Assets Receivables PR phone number 844-464-4354. This phone number goes straight to a womans desk claiming to be a mediator for whatever business you owe and tries to mediate before the lawyer files the court documents so you don't go to jail. I believed her and she told me I was facing charges for bank fraud and misuse of bank funds and would be charged and could face jail time ,meaning my security clearance would be taken and my career. Me going on 15yrs of Army service got scared so I asked her what I needed to do. She said hang on line and I can try mediate with attorneys and get you $2000 lowered and you pay it off so it won't go on your records or court. I was on hold for about 20mins or however long when she come back. She told me I had an hour to pay $925 and they would drop the case and it would not go court. They would send me an agreement over stating that and receipt when i paid. So i called my husband quickly to come up with the money because i was fearing for my career and called her back. I was wondering why when woman sent me anything it would go to my spam she stated it was their high security settings on their email. So I ended up giving her my atm/Visa card number over phone and paid the $935, $10 fee was for processing. She sends me a receipt and tells me not worry no more it was over. The receipt and documentation is from Global Resolution Services LLC but the draft from my account is still pending and bank won't release it says Assest Receivables PR 102319. Can you please help me and get my money back and stop them from harassing anyone else? I even told her I couldn't afford go to court I am supposed go overseas in February. Is this valid complaint?

Got a call from Asset Receivables Management saying I owed money from a car over 10 years ago never received anything in the mail, but I had 72 hours to make payment arrangements or someone would come to my place of work and give me court papers. So I set up a payment arrangement and paid some money down to stop the papers being filed with court. I wish I would of never done that after I read all the comments about different people below. Is their anything I can do now?
