They called me at my place of employment without my consent. I don't even know how they got the phone number for my direct line.

In 2016 I was hit by a car while riding a moped. The man who hit me had his bumper replaced and his insurance came after me for the money. I denied the claim multiple times, as I was the one hit, and they sent it to collections. Collections harassed me for a month straight calling me multiple times a day. I sent a cease and desist letter. I didn't hear from them until December 2017 when I was being harassed by phone calls at work. They came to my house multiple times and to my place of work multiple times. They could not get ahold of me and I was unaware I was being looked for. Finally, someone came into my place of work and asked for me directly. I approached this woman and she asked me if I was Taylor Hargett. I was then served at work with court papers and attended court. The man who hit me was represented by someone from A R Recovery Solutions Hawaii. I was ruled guilty by the judge and I gave A R Recovery my address and they said they would be in contact. This was on January 19th. I have not received anything further. I contacted them through their website three times asking about the status. I do not want this to affect my credit or be stuck with more fees. I am not sure if I should continue to reach out. I am just curious about why they have not contacted me in the last 5 months and am worried I will be responsible for more debt through no fault of my own!

I have been getting calls since forever. Even while being incarcerated the collector was calling looking for me even after being told years ago I was incarcerated. When I got out and completed my required programs the calls started coming in. 2016 still calls & letters sent then papers being served to my parents house for me to show up in court. When I arrived to court I was late so the court told me to just give them a call and sort this out. She (collector agent) has been calling everyone around me I know. From my parents to my wife’s father without my permission I have already made some payments and I asked to settle the debt but was told I can only settle for $5,000.00 which is $1,000 less than what I owed then. I’m just confused as to how $1,000 debt went up to $11,000.00. They say it’s rates that got higher but how when I did not know of this debt until I was released. Please help in anyway. Thank you!
