Peoria Car Accident Victim in Stable Condition

According to the Illinois State Police a 55 year old man injured in an accident on September 14th, 2013 is in stable condition after being airlifted from the crash scene.

The man, who has not been identified at this time, was driving a 2007 Toyota Prius and failed to slow in traffic and hit a semi from behind. The man, who has since been cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, was taken by Life Flight helicopter to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. The driver of the semi was not injured.
