Are you being harassed by Specified Credit Association over a debt? End the harassment, get money and do it without paying for our services. You are protected under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), whether or not you owe the debt.

The FDCPA has protected consumers since 1977. This federal law protects you from unfair or abusive debt collection practices through clear rules about what debt collectors may and may not do while collecting a debt, as well as things they must do under law.

Specified Credit Association is based in St Louis, Missouri. According to their corporate website, SBA offers receivables recovery on a contingency basis, legal and litigation, post-judgement and credit bureau reporting services. Post judgement collection services means Specified Credit Association works to obtain wage garnishments, attachments and levies on behalf of its clients, and it has a legal network throughout the United States. Their website states they have a “proven way of collecting a bad debt,” but continued non-payment after their involvement means they “may recommend legal action.”

According to Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER), Specified Credit Association has been sued 22 times since 2004, with 4 lawsuits filed in 2013. The most recent lawsuit filed was October 10, 2013. Specified Credit Association, Inc is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau. I received a judgement of 2900 for this junk debt buyer in 2009 and they have sent another judgement through for 13450 on the same case, as they keep raising the amount due. They bought the old debt for 1560 from title loan. I am at a loss to stop the increase in amount they keep adding.

I have recieved multiple calls from this collection agency saying I owe $9200 in damages to an apartment complex from 2012..they don't verify my dob or give me a mini miranda and have threatened to garnish me. I had an atty office contact them in reguards to this debt and they never returned their phone call and stopped calling me as soon as the atty office called them. I have every phone conversation with them recorded and saved on my phone.

I got a bill for Specified Credit Association. I tried to tell them that I was disputing the claim because I was never contacted back by the original agency after I sent multiple emails describing my situation and that I wanted to cancel the service. I acknowledged that I would pay but not the amount he was claiming I owed because I was never provided the service. I have much more details as well.
