I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to seek your professional advice and representation regarding a concerning matter I am facing with my credit card account issued by Synchrony Bank for City Furniture. In [Month, Year], I opened a credit card account with Synchrony Bank to facilitate a purchase from City Furniture. The terms of the agreement included a one-year interest-free period. Throughout this time, I diligently made monthly payments towards the credit card balance, ensuring that all payments were submitted punctually. However, upon the completion of the one-year interest-free period, I was taken aback to discover that Synchrony Bank had retroactively applied interest charges for the entire past year. This unexpected addition amounted to over $1000, effectively nullifying the interest-free period that was initially promised. Consequently, my account balance reverted back to its original state, and to my dismay, Synchrony Bank classified my account as negative, subsequently revoking my credit limit. This unfavorable turn of events has had a cascading impact on my overall credit profile. Not only has my credit score suffered due to the sudden negative account status, but Synchrony Bank\'s decision to remove the credit limit on my other cards has further exacerbated the situation. As a result, a significant portion of my available credit has been rescinded, leading to a decline in my creditworthiness. The financial strain caused by the unexpected interest charges and the removal of credit limits has made it exceedingly difficult for me to afford the outstanding balance on the City Furniture credit card, especially with the added interest rate. I am now faced with persistent calls from Synchrony Bank demanding payment, further escalating my stress and anxiety.

We are getting 5-10 calls a day with nobody answering on the other end. I’ve actually at one call, stayed on after I got the call and realized nobody was actually on the other end. I work with call centers and more than likely this auto dialer is routing calls to an unmanned desk. This is ridiculous

After reading that only 3rd party debt collectors are bound by the laws I may not have a case but I wanted to verify. 2 of the 100's of calls I received from A title loan company "Loan Mart" that left a message on my voicemail that said "This message is for Anthony if this is not Anthony please end this call. My name is Jason I need to speak to you regarding the repossession review being submitted on the 2014 BMW. Need you to contact me immediately before the vehicle is assigned to be repossessed. Number is 888-700-4042. This message was left on my only phone line that I use as a business line. My voicemail recording clearly identifies itself as a business line and says "If you would like to speak with a representative leave your name & number and the state you are calling from a representative for your area will return your call" my Intern who takes the messages for me heard the message and subsequently quit the next day after hearing about my car bring repossessed. My question is since Loan Mart is not a collection agency are they bound by the collection laws.
