I finally found an account manager about which for the first time in 5 years I will write a positive review. Mrs Ashley really showed its good side. Hi Erin. Debt collectors are permitted to contact your friends and family in the attempt to secure accurate contact information for you. They are permitted to contact them once, unless they give false information, then they can try calling again for the correct info. They cannot call and disclose any personal information about you or threaten/harass. If they are doing so, they could be violating their rights. We can discuss this further when I give you a call. My husband and I are rcvg calls from a "collector / law office" saying we are being sued and leaving case numbers that we have not been able to verify. The creditor they give as as the suing party doesnt show an account that has been sold to collections or that they are suing us. the calls are threating to go to our employers.

Hi Shannon. Debt collectors cannot threaten legal action unless they fully intend to follow through and they certainly are not permitted to threaten you with going to your employer. I was called by a company named Roberts turner & allen arbitration firm, regarding some unpaid payday loans i took out 6 years ago. it isnt the first time ive received these type calls, they tend be very vague and just tell me they'll sue if i dont pay the amount their asking or negotiate a payment plan to pay back the money loaned out. regarding Roberts turner & allen arbitration firm, i agreed verbally to pay off 4k, i am reaching out with at least 2 payments left to make. i wasn't aware of the situation i was in & upon freaking out because they ahven't processed today's payment, im afraid i'll be sued for 19k+. i did a bit of research to figure out their direct line, but i came across your website.

Hi Roger. I can understand being upset about this, especially when they're claiming they will sue you over your debt. The first thing to do is remain calm, as this is a common tactic that many debt collectors will use to scare consumers. It is typically only allowed if they actually follow through with their threats, but they often do not. I received a call from this number 678-827-3459 back on June 28 2021, they claimed to be from Concord Servicing corp. To make a long story short the convinced my wife to make a payment on a debt which was 9 years passed the statues of limitations. After I found out that they violated California state law I told them to take me to court. On September 29 2021 a new company called blackwell recovery, contacted me saying that they reopened my case and are now going to take me to court. I reminded them of the multiple state and federal laws and regulations that they violated back on June 28 2021. I did a reverse phone number search and 3 different company\'s came back. I filled a complaint at the consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Both concord and Blackwell responded saying that they had nothing to do with this. Can someone help me look into this? I can email all the information that I have.

I received a phone call I received from Williams and Associates Collections concerning a debt allegedly owed for purchasing power incurred during my tenure at Community Health. During our conversation, I requested documentation outlining the details of the debt to gain a better understanding of the situation. However, I was informed by the representative that the documentation had been sent via email to an address associated with Community Health. I must clarify that I no longer have access to that email account as I am no longer employed at Community Health. Furthermore, I was informed that documents had also been sent to my home address. However, I emphasize that I have not received any correspondence since my employment with Community Health ended. I have ben contacted by a collection agency and they refused to provide me with any proof of debt or even a letter when i asked for the proof of this debt a manger named Shanice Wilson who never identified me by phone just asked for my email and said she would send proof of debt by email I never revived this when I called back I was hung up on several times then my number was removed. i am still receiving calls form this number $1855-815-3390 there is no live person just a recording says this a debt collect. we do not know this number and it hangs up on me. I was also threatened with credit reporting for a personal loan I never took out for over $600 by Sasha Wilson who told me we only have to send a letter you it does not matter if you received it or not.
